Although we have seen the number of flying passengers steadily increase since hitting rock bottom in April, many people are electing for road trips instead of booking plane tickets.
RV rentals have skyrocketed but if you’re just looking to get way on a simpler (and cost more efficient) journey, American Express is there to help you as they introduced a new Amex offer today.
AMERICAN EXPRESS OFFERS (aka Amex Offers)
Every credit card comes with a list of “perks.” Some are more eye-catching than others but nonetheless a perk. One of my favorite perks of American Express credit cards are ‘Amex offers.’
If you’re not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program where your American Express credit cards are targeted for various savings and bonus offers. In many cases, these offers can save you big money. I mean…would you pay $100/year to save $500?
HOW DO I SEE MY ‘AMEX OFFERS?’
To view your Amex Offers, login to your Amex account and scroll to the bottom of your account summary page where you’ll see a list of eligible offers for that specific card. It should look like this…
The offers vary from person to person and can come in different forms. For example, one individual may be offered points for spending a certain amount of money, while another individual may be offered a credit for spending the same amount of money.
NEW AMEX OFFER
Currently, there’s a new targeted Amex Offer to save $40 when you spend $200 at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. This offer is valid for bookings through 31 December 2020.
As always, I would recommend that you read through the offer terms so you’re aware of how to utilize this offer. Some important terms for this offer include:
- Must book directly with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the US version of the website or mobile app
- Offer valid only for reservations booked at locations within the US and US territories
- Offer valid on qualifying rentals between 9/16/2020 and 12/31/2020 (inclusive)
- Eligible rentals must be a minimum of $200 USD including taxes and fees
- Not valid for for bookings made through travel agents, third parties, or affiliate sites
- Offer cannot be applied to a previous or existing reservations or rental
FINAL STAMP
Although this may not be the ideal time to travel for leisure, renting a car may present just the escape you need. The offer is valid until the end of the year so hopefully, it will be even more valuable as we approach the new year and things improve.
If you are planning a road trip or or need a bit of encouragement, it doesn’t get much better than 20% off of something that you were going to do anyway.
Don’t forget about opportunities to status match, so you can rent a cheap, small car and leave the parking lot in a much better car. 😉
