A few days ago, I wrote about several lucrative Amex offers that were available on my Marriott credit card. Generally, my Marriott card does not receive a lot of action because I find the bonus categories on other cards to be much more appealing. I have not determined if I am going to remove my card from the sock drawer and begin spending on the card but upon checking my Amex offers again this morning, I saw another great Marriott offer. I am not sure if I overlooked the offer or it was added after I wrote the first article but one thing I am sure about…they will stack.
Although I do not have any immediate plans to stay in a Marriott, I added them and wanted to make you are aware of the offer in case you plan on staying at a Marriott property soon.
HOW DO I SEE MY ‘AMEX OFFERS?’
If you’re not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program where your American Express credit cards are targeted for various savings and bonus offers. In many cases, these offers can save you big money. I mean…would you pay $100/year to save $500?
To view your Amex Offers, login to your Amex account and scroll to the bottom of your account summary page where you’ll see a list of eligible offers for that specific card. It should look like this…
The offers vary from person to person and can come in different forms. For example, one individual may be offered points for spending a certain amount of money, while another individual may be offered a credit for spending the same amount of money.
NEW AMEX OFFER
Currently, both, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card [READ MORE] and the The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card [READ MORE] have targeted offers that may encourage you to remove it from the sock drawer and place it back in your wallet.
A few days ago, I wrote about this offer in which you receive $50 back when you spend $200+ at select Marriott Bonvoy properties.
This morning I saw this an additional offer that awards you with +4 points per dollar spent at Marriott properties. These four points would be in addition to the points that you already receive for staying at a Marriott property.
It’s worth noting that if you have status with Marriott, you’ll earn additional points:
- Silver Elite = 10% bonus points
- Gold Elite = 25% bonus points
- Platinum Elite = 50% bonus points
- Titanium Elite = 75% bonus points
- Ambassador Elite = 75% bonus points
As always, I would recommend that you read through the offer terms so you’re aware of how to utilize this offer.

If you’re keeping track, Marriott is running a promotion in which you receive 2500 additional points per stay, there is an amex offer to receive $50 off a Marriott stay, you’ll receive 4 additional points per dollar spent via an Amex offer, and you’ll receive additional bonus points if you have any form of elite status.
The additional Amex Offer for +6 points per dollar spent at U.S. restaurants (on up to $7,500) and +6 points per dollar at U.S. gas stations (on up to $7,500) may be even more reason to remove this card from the sock drawer.
Ideally, all these offers will be found on the following cards:
