Calling all InterContinental Hotel fans…here’s your chance to save some money!
Every credit card comes with a list of “perks.” Some are more eye-catching than others but nonetheless a perk. One of my favorite perks of American Express credit cards are ‘Amex offers.’
If you’re not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program where your American Express credit cards are targeted for various savings and bonus offers. In many cases, these offers can save you big money. I mean…would you pay $100/year to save $500?
HOW DO I SEE MY ‘AMEX OFFERS?’
To view your Amex Offers, login to your Amex account and scroll to the bottom of your account summary page where you’ll see a list of eligible offers for that specific card. It should look like this…
The offers vary from person to person and can come in different forms. For example, one individual may be offered points for spending a certain amount of money, while another individual may be offered a credit for spending the same amount of money.
NEW AMEX OFFER
Currently, there’s a new targeted Amex Offer to save $60 when you spend $300 at InterContinental Hotel and Resorts. The offer is valid for stays at participating properties through 31 December 2020.
As always, I would recommend that you read through the offer terms so you’re aware of how to utilize this offer as it appears this offer is only “valid for stays at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts properties in the US.”
It’s possible there’s also another version that offers 6000 points (rather than $60 back). Personally, I’d consider the 6,000 bonus points to be a better offer because I value Amex points at ~1.7 cents each, thus 6,000 points = $102 on the same $300 purchase.

Although this may not be the ideal time to travel, hopefully things will be different closer to the New Year.
I’ve had the opportunity to stay at the InterContinental New York Time Square which is located just one block from the energy of Times Square (I know…how touristy of me) but I had a great time. Although it’s the epicenter of tourists, it’s also the epicenter of great dining, Broadway, and easy access to any location in the city.
The luxurious guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and have amazing panoramas of the city skyline. You can’t ask for much better than that.
If you are planning to stay at an InterContinental before the end of the year, this is a great opportunity to save off the cost of an upcoming stay.
