It’s that time of the year again.
Ok, perhaps this holiday season will be a bit different than the “norm,” but that hasn’t stopped credit card issuers from publishing some lucrative deals.
CITI 5% BACK
Citi launched an interesting offer: Earn 5% back for online purchases (between 11/24/20 – 11/30/20).
You’ll recognize the official “Black Friday” (11/27/20) and Cyber Monday (11/30/20) fall squarely into that promotional timeline so if you are planning to make an online purchase with a Citi card, this would be a good time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

There are a few things that you need to consider for this promotion:
- REGISTRATION is required
- Enroll between 11/16/20 – 11/30/20
- Only valid on purchases 11/24/20 – 11/30/20
- Earn 5% back on up to $500 spend as a statement credit (5% of $500 = $25)
I have several Citi credit cards so when I was redirected to the promotion, I saw the following:

You may remember a few weeks ago, I completed a “wallet refresh” and acquired the Citi Double Cash Card. Well, that was the first card that appeared once I logged in, but I was able to register all of my Citi cards individually.

Though all of my cards were eligible for the promotion, I’m not completely sure if this promotion is widely targeted or I was simply lucky and all of my cards just happened to be targeted.
In any case, check the registration page to see if your cards are eligible too.
FINAL STAMP
Citi has launched a promotion where you can earn 5% back for online purchases (between 11/24/20 – 11/30/20).
If you have any Citi Cards, just go ahead and click THIS REGISTRATION button now and enroll. There is no reason to wait. Savings is savings, no matter how you cut it. And if you’re going to purchase something online, why pay $500 when you purchase it for $475?
Additionally, you’ll earn the miles / cash back that you would normally earn for a purchase.
If you have multiple cards, be sure to check each card to see if you are eligible for the offer by navigating to the ‘select a card’ drop down located on the top of the Offers for You page.
It’s worth noting that Citi clearly says in the T&C’s “purchases made through mobile/wireless technology may not earn the reward depending on how the technology is set up to process the purchase.” In other words, your best bet is to use a computer but it may still fly (no pun intended).
Pro-Tip: Before you purchase anything, don’t forget about potential stacking opportunities with AMEX offers, Chase offers, or THIS OPPORTUNITY to get $40 off any purchase.
