New Amex Offer: Spend $500, Earn 1000 Marriott Bonus Points (up to 3 times)

Update 11/09/20 2:20PM (EST): Since posting the original article (below), it appears there several versions of this offer including:

  • Spend $500, receive 1,000 Bonvoy bonus points (IMO, not a bad offer, but not phenomenal either)
  • Spend $4,000, receive 8,000 Bonvoy bonus points (IMO…a little pricey for 8000 points)
  • Spend $7,000, receive 15,000 Bonvoy bonus points (IMO…I’ll pass)
  • Spend $20,000, receive 25,000 Bonvoy bonus points (IMO…they’re kidding right!?)
  • Spend $100,000, receive 100,000 Bonvoy bonus points (…insert ANY meme with someone blinking and not saying a word)

American Express has been offering some amazing discounts lately so let’s just dive in a check out what is taking place…

AMEX OFFERS

There is no doubt the pandemic has affected businesses across the board and many companies are developing creative ways to increase revenue. This has created several unique opportunities for individuals that possess credit cards to save a lot of of money (like saving 40% off a plane ticket or racking up points for shopping at Amazon).

Over the past few weeks, Amex has continued to drop even more great offers. For example, there’s currently a new targeted Amex Offer to receive 1000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points after spending $500. The offer expires on 31 December 2020 and can be completed up to 3 times.

If you’re not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program where your American Express credit cards are targeted for various savings and bonus offers. In many cases, these offers can save you big money. For example, I have saved $1000 and I’ve only had my card for a few months. Read about it HERE!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

As always, I would recommend that you read through the offer terms so you’re aware of how to utilize this offer, but the terms are as expected and straight forward.

HOW DO I SEE MY ‘AMEX OFFERS?’

To view your Amex Offers, login to your Amex account and scroll to the bottom of your account summary page where you’ll see a list of eligible offers for that specific card. It should look like this…

FINAL STAMP

Ideally, you will find this offer located on your Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card [READ MORE] or the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card [READ MORE] as these cards offer bonus points for spending at Marriott properties.

But as always, don’t feel pressured to take advantage of every offer. Generating points on purchases that you were going to make anyway is great but paying late fees or interest on those offers is nonsense and negates the value!

Pro-Tip: I would recommend adding this Amex Offer ASAP even if you don’t plan to use it. American express has started this “unique” trend where they only let so many people add the offer to their card and once it hits that limit, it disappears from your account if you haven’t loaded it.

And don’t forget, you can use THIS TRICK if you want to see more Amex offers.

Were you targeted for this Amex Offer? Do you plan on taking advantage of this offer?

  1. Yeah, I didn’t get targeted for this offer but I’m okay with that.

LOL @ Spend $100,000, receive 100,000 Bonvoy bonus points (…insert ANY meme with someone blinking and not saying a word).

I’m so glad I got the 10,000 Bonvoy points for $1,000 in spend.
