Every credit card comes with a list of “perks.” Some are more eye-catching than others but nonetheless a perk. One of my favorite perks of American Express credit cards are ‘Amex offers.’
If you’re not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program where your American Express credit cards are targeted for various savings and bonus offers. In many cases, these offers can save you big money. I mean…would you pay $100/year to save $500?
HOW DO I SEE MY ‘AMEX OFFERS?’
To view your Amex Offers, login to your Amex account and scroll to the bottom of your account summary page where you’ll see a list of eligible offers for that specific card. It should look like this…
The offers vary from person to person and can come in different forms. For example, one individual may be offered points for spending a certain amount of money (e.g. spend $100, get 1000 points), while another individual may be offered a credit for spending the same amount of money (e.g. spend $100, get $10 back)
NEW AMEX OFFER
Currently, there’s a new targeted Amex Offer for $10 back when you spend $100 at Amazon and this offer can be used twice.
I would recommend that you read through the offer terms so you’re aware of how to utilize this offer.
PRO TIP: An easy way to utilize this offer is to complete an Amazon Reload (or essentially load your Amazon account with $100) and then repeat a second transaction to ensure you receive both $10 credits on your Amex account. I would only do this if you ABSOLUTELY KNOW you’re going to spend $200 at some point in the future on Amazon.
FINAL STAMP
Although it’s not a lot of money saved, every penny counts particularly if you were planning to spend the money at Amazon anyway. Additionally (and understandably), given the pandemic, Amazon appears to be the go-to source for many households so this is definitely an offer worth considering.
This offer appears to be a highly targeted offer. I have spoken to 4 friends this morning and between a plethora of Amex cards, I was the only person that saw this offer (on my Blue Business Plus Credit Card).
