Looking to escape the dreary winter season? Is Fiji, Australia or New Zealand are on your bucketlist?
Arriving at any of the three destinations can be expensive. But if you’re in the points and miles circle, there is a sale that is taking place that will save you thousands of dollars.
This post won’t be a long post because the sale speaks for itself.
THE BASICS
If the winter weather has you down, you’ve been considering a tropical getaway, and have a stash of Alaska miles, you’re in luck.
Alaska Airlines is running a sale for the next week where customers can save up to 50% on award tickets redeemed on Fiji Airways. That’s right… 50% off but you have to book before 29 February 2020.

THE DEAL
The offer is valid for both business and economy class tickets, but you’ll save the most when booking economy. Here are the rates:
Economy:
FROM | TO | Regular Award | Sale Price |
North America | South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia | 40,000 | 20,000 |
Hawaii | South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia | 27,500 | 20,000 |
Business:
FROM | TO | Regular Award | Sale Price |
North America | South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia | 55,000 | 40,000 |
Hawaii | South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia | 45,000 | 40,000 |
MY THOUGHTS
You’re thinking too much…JUST BOOK IT!

The terms state that you need to book your ticket by 29 February 2020 and I am seeing open dates out as far as December.
But this is where it gets good….Alaska allows one free stopover on award tickets, which means you can fly from the U.S. to Fiji, hang out as long as your want, and then continue on to Sydney for — you guessed it — 20,000 miles in economy or 40,000 in Business:

If you’re flying out of Los Angeles (LAX) in business class, be sure to enjoy Fiji Airways’ new A350 which features 33 layflat Super Diamond seats.

FINAL STAMP
If you’re on the rocks about booking this trip, stay tuned as I’ll be reviewing my trip to Fiji over the next week.
I’ll try to have everything published by the 29th, so you won’t have any reason to hesitate.
Anyone going to Fiji, Australia or New Zealand?
