DEAL ALERT: USA to Barcelona in Spring and Fall from $257+ (East and West Coast Cities)

Let’s get straight to the point…some of the links on this site pay 1TattedPassport a referral bonus for anyone that is approved. Have you experienced the arctic chill that has enveloped most of the USA over the past few days? Are you dreaming about warmer weather and sunny beaches?

Well, I have a good deal for you! I’m going to keep this short so you have plenty of time to search.

Right now there are multiple deals for travel to the seaside perfection commonly known as Barcelona.

The sale is for spring and fall travel so let’s dive in…

WHAT CITIES AND HOW MUCH?

They always have sales from NYC but the cities that are included in this sale stretch all the way from NYC to the LAX . This is what I found:

  • New York: from $257 main cabin (Iberia, United, Air Canada)
  • Los Angeles: $311 Basic Economy / $476 Main Cabin (United, Air Canada)
  • San Jose, CA: $313 Basic Economy (United)
  • San Francisco: $320 Basic Economy / $460 Main Cabin (American)
  • Chicago: $336 Main Cabin (Iberia) or $353 Main Cabin (American)
  • Miami: $357 Main Cabin (American, Iberia, TAP)
  • Philadelphia: $392 (American, Iberia)

Some fares were a bit more expensive but even at $350, that’s not bad considering you’re going to Europe roundtrip.

If you have Chase Ultimate Reward points, you can redeem your points and the flight would be completely free and you would earn frequent flyer miles on top of that.

Remember that credit card that I recommended that had a 60,000 point welcome bonus? If you obtained the bonus, congratulations, you have two roundtrip tickets to Spain!

TRAVEL DATES

I tend to see the lowest price when staying 6 days or more but not always. Anyway, the travel period is:

  • February – May & September – December

All prices are visible on Google Flights, but there are some challenges. For example, the American Airlines fares sometimes reprice higher on Google Flights, and the United fares will sometimes need to be searched for on Orbitz, or other online travel agencies. The Chicago fares often have lower basic economy prices with Iberia, but cheaper main cabin fares with American. If you find sale fares that work for your travel dates on Google Flights, make sure to check multiple options for the best price.

Pro Tip: If you’re not familiar with ‘Basic economy’ fares, they include one carry-on, a personal item, and meals with United, American, and Iberia. Main cabin pricing adds seat selection and a checked bag as well so you’ll have to determine in paying the extra is worth the seat selection and bags. While the New York prices will probably remain steady for a while, the west coast prices are more rare. So book now if you want to see Spain’s coastal gem up close.

HOW TO BOOK

  • Go to google flights
  • Type in your origin (LAX, SFO, ORD, MIA, PHL, NYC, etc.)
  • Type in your destination (Barcelona – BCN)
  • Search the calendar function
  • Enjoy the savings!

So who is booking a trip to Spain?
