Solid Deal: Delta Offering Additional Bonus On Credit Card Spend

If you’re a Delta fan and have one (or all) of their co-branded SkyMiles credit cards, take a look at these limited time offers on your card.

At the moment, the cards are offering additional miles for spending on Delta purchases and restaurant spend (including bonus MQMs). Let’s look at the details.

BONUS SPEND

Bonus miles are being offered depending on the credit card(s) that you hold but both offers are valid through the end of the year (12/31/20). Below are the offers separated into two groups for simplicity.

The following cards are offering 5x miles on Delta purchases and 4x miles at restaurants:

  • Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express
  • Delta SkyMiles Gold Business American Express

However, to take advantage of this offer, you have to enroll at: Americanexpress.com/deltagoldoffers

In other words, that’s an extra 3 miles on Delta purchases and an extra 2 miles at restaurants on top of the miles you already earn.

Additionally, the following cards are offering 5x miles on Delta purchases and you can also earn 500 Bonus Miles and 500 MQMs after spending $1,000 in purchases on your enrolled Card:

  • Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express
  • Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business American Express
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express
  • Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express

However, to take advantage of this offer, you have to enroll via your Amex Offers.

I’ve written extensively about Amex offers over the past few days because there are so many deals. I would recommend logging into Amex account right now, taking a brief look at the offers on your cards and adding them.

FINAL STAMP

We’ve seen a number of cards begin to offer additional points/miles on dining purchases however depending on your points/miles strategy, this route may be more appealing particularly for Delta fans. Even if you value Delta miles at 1 cent, this is a good return on spend.

If you’re hub captive (looking at you ATL, DTW, MSP, etc.), or prefer to fly on Delta more, and value elite status, the opportunity to earn additional MQMs is probably also intriguing.

It’s worth noting that Delta MQMs roll over only if you have status. If you have already had your status extended because of the pandemic, this should make it really easy for re-qualification next year.

Is anyone planning to take advantage of these spending offers on the Delta co-branded cards?
