I haven’t spoke much about SHOPPING PORTALS on this blog (yet) but this morning I noticed increased bonuses on three separate airline portals and thought I would highlight the opportunity for those that are seeking an easy way to garner some additional miles.
New Airline Shopping Portal Bonuses
Online shopping portals can be a great way to pick up additional miles & points for purchases you’d make anyway. Just for following a specific link you can earn bonus points in addition to the ones you’d earn for credit card spending.
The number of bonus points you earn per dollar spent varies by retailer, though in addition to those variable bonuses, there are often promotions that are available on all purchases.
THREE PORTAL BONUSES
At the moment three popular airline shopping portals are offering additional bonuses, should you have any online shopping to do. These aren’t the most exciting bonuses we’ve seen, though if you’re going to make online purchases anyway, you might as well take advantage of them.
So let’s take a look…
Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping bonus
Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping is offering 400 bonus miles when you spend $200 on purchases by February 16, 2020.

American AAdvantage eShopping bonus
American AAdvantage eShopping is offering 400 bonus miles when you spend $200 on purchases by February 17, 2020.

United MileagePlus Shopping bonus
United MileagePlus Shopping is offering 400 bonus miles when you spend $200 on purchases by February 17, 2020.

FINAL STAMP
You can take advantage of each of these three promotions, and for each promotion the bonus is based on cumulative spending during the promotion period, so you can earn the bonuses based on multiple transactions.
But let’s be clear, just because the opportunity exists doesn’t mean that you should take advantage of it.
Don’t spend money just because! <–My English teachers would be so happy with me right now.
Any promotion that I highlight on this site should only assist in your travels because you’re going to making a purchase in the first place.
Spending, at least, $600 across these three promotions to earn 1,200 bonus miles is ridiculous if you’re going to find yourself laden with debt, or paying a late fee/interest on something you didn’t need.
We don’t talk about late fees / interests on this site because that’s not how we operate. If you find yourself behind in payments, or paying late fees, close your card immediately!
Regardless, there’s no registration required for this promotion, and the bonus miles should post within 10 weeks of when the promotions end.
Valentines Day is tomorrow. Anyone need a last minute gift? What has your experience been with shopping portals?
