Let’s get straight to the point…some of the links on this site pay 1TattedPassport a referral bonus for anyone that is approved. World of Hyatt has just announced the details of their next global promotion, called “Bonus Journeys.”

Earn 2x Points (+ up to 1,500 Bonus Points Per Stay)

With World of Hyatt’s new Bonus Journeys promotion, you can earn bonus points for stays at over 1,000 participating locations worldwide, starting with your second stay during the promotion period:

  • Earn double points on stays, including at 875 Hyatt hotels across 17 brands, 10+ participating MGM properties, 300+ Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties, and 300+ Lindblad Expedition experiences
  • Earn 1,500 bonus points for each qualifying weekend stay that includes a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, if you have the World of Hyatt Credit Card.

It’s worth noting again, that you only start earning bonus points with this promotion starting with your second stay. With your first stay you’ll earn points as usual.

REGISTER FOR THIS PROMOTION

Registration for this promotion is easy, simply:

  • CLICK HERE and register between 10 February and 31 March 2020
  • Stay between February 15 and May 15, 2020 (this is based on your checkout date)

There are some terms and conditions to be aware of:

  • Previously booked stays qualify, so it’s fine if you booked before the promotion period started
  • The number of points doubled is determined from base points, and members earn five base points per dollar spent
  • Bonus points will appear in your World of Hyatt account within 2-3 weeks

BREAKING DOWN THE MATH

World of Hyatt members ordinarily earn five base points per dollar spent at all brands. On top of that:

  • Earning double points would equate to an extra five points per dollar
  • Elite members receive further bonuses — Discoverists = 0.5 points per dollar, Explorists = 1.0 points per dollar, and Globalists = 1.5 points per dollar
  • If you pay with the World of Hyatt Credit Card you earn an extra four World of Hyatt points per dollar spent

In other words, during this promotion a Globalist member paying with the World of Hyatt Credit Card would be earning 15.5 World of Hyatt points per dollar spent, starting with the second stay. And that doesn’t include up to 1,500 bonus points per weekend stay. WHOA!!

Combine This With Other Hyatt Promos

One of the aspects that I love about Hyatt is the fact that you can combine promotions that Hyatt may be running simultaneously or on-going promotions that appear to never end including:

  • 500 bonus points when you stay at a new Hyatt Hotel (this promotion is displayed on the homepage when logged into your account)
  • Earn a Category 1-4 free night when you stay at five new Hyatt brands (this promotion is displayed on the homepage when logged into your account also)
  • American AAdvantage and World of Hyatt also have a partnership where you can earn bonus American miles for Hyatt stays (REGISTER HERE).

FINAL STAMP

This promotion is a solid, particularly if you’re a Hyatt loyalist.

Earning double points on stays (starting with the second stay) isn’t too hard, and the terms and conditions on the promo aren’t very restrictive for most. That sounds like a good deal to me.

As always, go ahead and REGISTER NOW for the promotion. You’ll forget about this promotion in the next hour and undoubtedly book Hyatt stays during the promotion period and miss out on extra points.

PRO-TIP: A “stay” is just one night. If you’re staying in a city more than one night, it could be very easy to activate this promo. 😉

Did you register for the promo? Do you have any upcoming stays with Hyatt?
