Run (Don't Walk): Singapore New First Class Suites Available At Saver Level (13 Hours of Bliss)

Nearly 2 years ago, Singapore Airlines introduced their new First Class A380 Suites and it instantly jumped to the top of the “bucket list” for us weirdos that love anything aviation-related. However, it’s nearly impossible to book these awards.

Well, if you’ve been looking for a chance to redeem some miles…here’s your chance!

Singapore Airlines First Class

This isn’t going to be a lengthy post because I want you to have as much time as possible to search for this award but here’s what you need to know:

1) There are some saver-level Suites available between Singapore and London (Singapores longest flight featuring these seats) during July & August 2020. These seats are all on flight SQ305/306.

Note: Award availability is better from London to Singapore than Singapore to London but availability does exist in both directions.

2) These awards are VERY HARD to come by (understandably because there are only 6 First Class seats). It usually involves waitlisting for the award and having some very good luck…and your chances are STILL very slim.

3) You can only book long haul Singapore Airlines awards using Singapore’s own Krisflyer miles.

Currently, these seats are only offered on a select A380s and on a limited number of routes: Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, and Zurich. However, typically, Singapore only makes seats available between Singapore and Shanghai (5 hour flight) and Singapore and Mumbai/Delhi (5.5 hour flight).

A one-way Suite ticket will cost you 125,000 KrisFlyer miles. Singapore Airlines doesn’t generally let you redeem partner miles for travel in their long haul premium cabins, so you’d have to book through the KrisFlyer program. The good news is that those miles are pretty easy to come by (more on that below).

Fortunately, the four major bank currencies transfer to Singapore Airlines Krisflyer. So if you’re interested in booking this flight but don’t have KrisFlyer miles, simply transfer the miles from:

Typically, this route is operated with a Boeing 777-300ER but for July and August the 777 has been swapped with an A380 (with the new product). Ironically, the award availability appears to reflect what it was with the 777.

So, having the opportunity to redeem miles at saver level for this “true” long haul First Class is a no brainer if you have the miles and want to experience luxury at its finest.

Again, I certainly don’t expect this availability to last for long. I recommend, calling and putting the award on hold as transfers to Singapore usually take 12-48 hours.

It’s great to finally see availability for “true” long haul Saver space in Singapore Airlines’ new A380 Suites as you have the opportunity to really enjoy the product.

Anyone planning on taking advantage of this award availability?
